THE COOPERAGE
Trust Hungary Zrt. is located in southern Hungary in the town of Szigetvár. Established in 1992, Trust supplied Hungarian oak staves to American winemakers. Their favorable feedback about the many exceptional qualities of Hungarian oak led to a rapid expansion that laid the groundwork for our state-of-the-art cooperage.

Trust Hungary RT was pleased to welcome the former heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne, Austrian archduke and current President of the Pan-European Parliament Otto von Habsburg and his wife Duchess Regina to its cooperage. After renouncing his claim to the Austrian throne, President Habsburg dedicated his political life in pursuit of a united Europe. As Hungary prepares to join the European Union President Habsburg recognized Trust Hungary as a model for businesses in Hungary wishing to succeed in the global marketplace.
In January 2004 Trust Hungary was pleased to receive ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications. Trust is the only ISO certified cooperage East of France.
At the factory of Zwack Unicum Rt. in Kecskemét - which is a well known of its world famous quality spirits, the 300 Liter Hungarian Oak barrels produced by Trust Hungary Rt. have found their worthy place. Our company is very proud to contribute to the job of Hungarian spirit maker masters with our high quality products and international experience.
The rapid demand and growth of Hungarian oak lead to the development of a new state-of-the-art cooperage.
By 1997, Trust supplied 30,000 barrels worth of Hungarian oak staves to French cooperages.
In 1995, Trust began making oak planks and oak chips.
